March 17, 20178 yr Author comment_515648 Thanks for the dialogue so far. Any thoughts on differential fluid? The Redline shock series seems interesting on the heavier end. I am wondering if the heavy will quiet things ... which is my goal.... or if it is too heavy for what will be a street car. March 17, 20178 yr comment_515654 I am also interested in Dif lube suggestions. My car sat for about 15 years. I'm pretty sure my rear wheel bearings are original and the dif has not been touched. April 7, 20178 yr Author comment_517462 Added the redline shock to the differential and it quieted it down a bit bit not as much as I hoped. I had earlier pulled all carpet and everything from the rear end getting ready to replace it. So I threw some pillows in the back and that actually took care of most of the noise. i plan to add sound proofing soon and think I will be fine. Also replacing transmission fluid with redline mt90.
