My goodness, when I said between $10- $40k I thought I was choosing a number that was so high it was obviously ridiculous. I'll bet the seller is in pleasant shock at the moment.

Wow, I checked this right when I (apparently mistakenly!) thought it ended at $28,500, and that was already higher than I thought it would go for. I think $36,000 is a new high for a Z car on BAT.

I've never watched a BAT auction before, so I tuned in about the time it was to end.  It started from the original 20K in $500 up bids.  When the auction was supposed to be over a timer of 2 minutes would start with each new bid .  It didn't end until there was no counter bid within the 2 minute timer well after the official end time.

I know real person auctions go until there are no more bids but I'm not familiar with online bidding other than ebay with a set end time.  Is that common with bigger ticket items like cars to extend the auction time?

I thought I was guessing a little high at $28k. Wow! I have a 1975 280Z that I've owned since 1986 and has been in storage since 1992 or so. I wonder what that's worth today?

I'm jealous!  I really liked it much more than the one that was the topic of this thread.  Was really surprised it didn't go higher.  If only I had room but I'm already over allowed :)
