Rubber Strips on 240 bumpers: where to source?

wheee!

Recommended Posts

Not sure if I want to go this route or not, but where can we find reasonably priced rubber replacement strips for the old chrome bumpers? I may just buy the Futofabs in the end, but I have a decent set of old style bumpers already, they just need either new rubber or welding up and rechroming...

This what I did and thought it looked ok. I got this from pep boys. Still have a bunch left. I think it was $22 or so back then?

All black no chrome.

I will check with my dealer. But the body molding might be a good idea too.

My bumpers were just drivers and I couldn't see investing in the right rubber for the cost.

Should have put put a strip of it in the center of the bumper......might have absorbed the impact. :D

LOL yeah! I sold it to a 17 year old kid in South Florida. That was 2 weeks worth of ownership for him. He bought it for 7k and insured for 10k. I tried like heck to buy it back from the insurance company. No luck.

Where did a 17 year old get $7K?  Certainly not from flipping burgers at McDonalds.  Some of the cash would have been better spent on a high performance driving school class.  Nice car, slow reflexes, bad wreck.
