Power Steering kis for Z

Recommended Posts

I've seen 2 different "complete" electric power steering kits advertised. One claims it is adjustable and costs $1500.00, $600.00 more that n the other.  The other kit sells for $900.00 and claims its very easy to install.  Claims everything can be installed in a few hours after old column, etc. is removed.  Does anyone have any experience with these kits they can share?

I installed Zpowersteering (http://zpowersteering.com/).  Took a full day to install and had to fabricate a bracket to hold it in place (these units are heavy) but it works very well and is completely silent and seamless. You have a rheostat control knob to regulate the amount of assist. It does not adjust automatically according to speed like the other unit mentioned.

The topic has been discussed here a couple of times. If you search you will find detailed info.

SilverMine Motors has a new setup that looks very complter. Nice parts is that steering column is a bolt in. I gather this is the one OP was talking about for $900.

I'm probably going to order this for my 280Z. But holding off for now as Canadian Dollar has tanked.
