Personally I find it very hard to believe it does wonders, I'm wondering if anyone has heard seen or experienced what this does?

I personally have used McGuires car polish then Canauba wax over the top of that. I do it all by hand as a orbital polisher I find leaves alot of swirl marks.

Anyone got a product to share or tips to make your paint look stunning.

I find my red car lots of hard work to keep shiny.

  • 2 weeks later...

what i find funny is that they show it all on new cars.

show me an older car with decent paint and a before and after pic.

but for the price they can keep it

gav i use meguirs also. have you tried this combo.

for one make sure your buffer cloth is clean. when it gets dirty change it.

i use meguirs first step cleaner wax, then theyre mirror glaze, then the gold class.

always looks great and never had a problem with swirl marks

Sounds like some good stuff. I use Meguires but i havent got the bottle here to tell ya what it is - OI have crappy paint and the poilish brought the paint up to a great finish. It is in a black squeeze tube... This stuff you linked to looks like it did wonders to the bonnet on the 350.

If it sounds to good to be true..............

I have literally tried every type of wax there is. In terms of gloss and longevity, Collinite is the best. It's a little hard to take off but it's worth it. (www.dccarcare.com) Of course waxing is useless unless the paint in clean. So before you wax, you should use clay and then follow with a polish. Also when waxing, use a damp sponge. It will put on a thinner coat. Thickness doesn't matter because you're filling up microscopic blemishes. A can of wax should last 80+ waxings.

I go by this-

wash- at least once a week

wax- once a month

clay, polish- every 4 months

buff- once a year

The oldest car I have, aside from my 240 which in in 1000 pieces, is a 97 that looks brand new. Regardless of brand of wax, unless you prep/maintain your vehicle, nothing will look good.
