Posted April 27, 20177 yr comment_519279 I just bought 12 months for what 6 months from my main carrier charges. Stated value of $20K, 6,000 miles per year for $141. They don't write Hagerty so I didn't get a quote from them but I hardly ever drive the car so I'm happy with this and they're out of Alpharetta Georgia, local to me. http://www.classiccollectors.com/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57583-classic-car-insurance/ Share on other sites
April 28, 20177 yr comment_519345 that seems good. i have state farm, they told me for $30k and 2500 miles a year it would be $250 +/- a year. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57583-classic-car-insurance/#findComment-519345 Share on other sites
April 28, 20177 yr comment_519352 I Have Hagerty. $161 per year no limit on miles, 10k value on my 77 280. Happy with it. Maybe I'll do a comparison of the two. State Farm wanted way too much here in CA. It was around $500 per year without the coverage I get with Hagerty, IIRC. April 28, 20177 yr comment_519357 My biggest problem with most of these policies is they want the vehicle garaged and I really don't have a spot to keep a car inside... That's the price you pay for having the guest house. April 28, 20177 yr comment_519379 I use American Modern through USAA. Insured value of $12,000 for one and $18,000 for the other of my 71 240Z's - $343.00 a year. 6,000 mile limitation. I do plan on getting "second opinions" plus, I have to raise the agreed value since their value seem to keep going up since I last set them. Much easier with my laptop. It's behind the couch, way behind the couch. April 29, 20177 yr comment_519413 Another vote for Hagerty! I was paying USAA over $281 dollars annually for a 29 year old motorcycle that I might put 500 miles a year on at most. Hagerty covered it for $55 bucks a year. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57583-classic-car-insurance/#findComment-519413 Share on other sites

My wife can smell anything i do to that car, and i mean anything……. I just signed up with Hagerty. Valued @ 15K, $265 for the year. Less that half what State Farm was charging for Liability only when I was re-building. April 29, 20177 yr Author comment_519440 I used to leave the chokes on in the 240s I had, all I ever did was move them around the garage so I figured just leave them pulled back. After rebuilding a set I learned a couple of things, mainly why I was smelling gas so bad. I live above the garage too.
