Is there anyone on here from the Dallas area who could take a look at a car in that area that I am looking at? Last minute, but just found it and I do not want to make a 15 hr each way trip if it is not what it is advertised as. I was wanting to see if someone could put eyes on before I made the offer on a car in the area. I have made the offer, it is hard sight unseen for me to make such an offer, but I went ahead. We will see!

Perhaps Jim or I already know the car...we both talk to may Z owners.

Jim, I made a blind offer on the car and was to hear back by 6:00 PM. I assume that I did not get it. I had to make a low ball offer due to not being able to properly assess the car. I wish I had been able to purchase it. I would really like to have another Series 1 example.

No, I made a site unseen offer and the person holding the sale would not take it due to me not being there in person and did not want to take a pal pal deposit. It sold for much less than my offer. I tried to buy the car from the individual who purchased it today and he was not interested at what I was willing to pay. He could have made $3,500 just for taking it home. A member did go take a look at it for me today and it is a nice original car, but I had to set a realistic limit on my offer. As Jim said to me it is still a 46 year old car and will need lots of work to totally refresh.

Great looking car - but good on you for not letting emotions take over and sticking to your gut
