1973 240Z Value

i have it at a mechanic doing the once over !  He said he would get photos when the car is on the lift.

i don't need a quick sell. Just a fair one.

The car is absolutely drivable.

The car is in San Pedro CA

i will add photos after I have the car back

It looks pretty nice from the one picture.  If it still has the flat top carbs I would be interested if I can find a place to park it. I think the 1973's are underrated.  The thing I like about them is that they are the only 240Z with the flat tops and unique hardware.  Most people have have tossed the flat tops in favor of the SU's, so finding an original will soon be pretty rare, thus the value.  And don't harass me about the flat tops as I actually had a 1973 240Z (Stupidly sold in a short period of insanity) that had flat tops and it ran flawlessly, even in LA traffic.  I may have @Montezuma check this out as he lives in Long Beach....not far from San Pedro.

Hello montezuma,

i am having with the mechanic that is giving it a once over if it had the original

flat top carbs.   While it's with the mechanic he will take photos of the underside of the car while it's on the lift

getting all the facts and details together so I can come up with a fair price

Yes.  The mechanic in San Pedro has finished his inspection.

Should have it later today.

There is another fellow that has expressed interest.

I have been told by other "Z " folks that 14-16k is about right.

Agree?

I think so, rust is the difference maker.  I am supposed to look at it for my friend Rich who posts on this board as Motorman7.  A close inspection will determine if that price is right...no rust you are right in there.

the mechanic in Pedro said the brakes need to be done

the new engine needs to be tuned 

electrical needs looking at   Might need new switches

no rust seen

compression is good

all else looks good!

According to the mechanic it seems to have the "flat top" 

Compression is good. new engine no miles. No rust.

It does need brakes, and a tune up-since its a brand new engine and hasnt been driven (it was towed to mechanic) and electrical switch-windshied washers not working.

So, If you are interested and do not want me to get this extra work done. Please let me know ASAP.

Otherwise I will get the last work done and put it up for sale.
