Posted May 7, 20177 yr comment_520159 i am looking for door panels. it looks like panels for a 72 are NLA, so im wondering if panels from a later year can be modified to fit (new vinyl, maybe re-locate some holes) i found 72 nos panels on ebay for $875, and new 280 panels for $300. anyone tried it? May 7, 20177 yr comment_520166 Alright, sounds like you're in a rush then. If the backing is still good on your current panels, then skins from Les might be an option at $275. We now have available door skins for the door panels on your 240Z. These are a very nice reproduction of the original pattern and can be installed on your existing door hard boards. Send us your complete panels and our factory will install the new skins. http://www.classicdatsun.com/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57660-door-panels/#findComment-520166 Share on other sites
May 7, 20177 yr Author comment_520169 my backings are the problem. age and water damage. im thinking that if the 280 backings are the same or very close, i have a much better chance of finding good 280 backings and re-skining them. May 8, 20177 yr comment_520248 The backings are made of the same material as the spare tire cover is made of. I thought about a project but matching the couture of the door seems a bit of an issue. You must be near the finish line if the interior is what you are working on. FORGET THE GUNS............RAMMING SPEED!
