March 24, 20205 yr Author comment_595288 I know this thread is old but was wondering if now that we have this long coronavirus outbreak it is time to remove the stock single point distributor of my 240z and clean it throughly. Is it very complicated? March 24, 20205 yr comment_595293 The most complicated part is the breaker plate. It has a circlip that is difficult to deal with and the way that the parts fit together is not obvious. If you can clean the breaker plate and bearings without taking it apart you should be able to get it done pretty easily. Make drawings and take pictures. I have this spare one which i bought a couple of years ago and i may practice with it. I bought it used from someone who had it serviced but it never worked. So i reinstall the current one in my car. I paid 90usd for it.
