June 11, 20177 yr comment_522816 My Dad made my sister change a flat before he let her drive. Mother thought that was cruel and unusual then my sister fixed her flat when nobody else was around. My Dad got the last laugh on that. 8^) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57885-mamas-new-z/?&page=2#findComment-522816 Share on other sites
June 11, 20177 yr Author comment_522856 I was working out of town early on when we were married and Shelley's BMW Bavaria sprung a radiator leak. I coached her through it from out of town and told her where to take it. They wanted to know who took it out for her. She said she did it. I am not sure they believed her. She reinstalled it and burped it. Texans are tough... June 13, 20177 yr comment_523040 '89 325is with a steel block and aluminum head like the Zs got me through the wildest times of my life. The toughest car I've ever owned. I beat that poor car to death and still got $1,000 for it. Paid $3,000 at auction. Black with black leather. The boy I sold it to still has it and says it runs great but no a/c transmission is worn out, 300,000 plus miles. New ones have the motor covered. Don't like that at all.
