Posted July 3, 20177 yr comment_524736 So we pulled one out of my car and bought the other one and now we can't remember What is what due to being stored for years. Any help would be appreciated thanks. July 3, 20177 yr comment_524753 Judging by the sheen of the fluid I'd guess the first pictured one is the oldest and has been in storage longest. Watson? July 3, 20177 yr comment_524755 The second one (no cross-member) looks like your standard Z transmission. I do not recognize the first one. The bolts on the top near the shifter are unfamiliar to me. July 3, 20177 yr comment_524759 Top tranny is a F4W71B 4 spedd and the lower is a FS5W71B 5 speed. Can't really tell if the FS5W71B came from a 280Z, 280ZX 2+2 or the later close ratio versions from the 280ZX NA coupe.
