The head does look clean, but why not bother to clean up the valve cover? I spent about as much time shining up the cover as I did rebuilding the head.

That's the way all Series 1 cars came.  Not sure when a strap was added to the left door.

There isn't a driver side strap on my 73 either.

Not a bad price for a Series I car with some rust issues.  How about those crazy after-market orange & black checkered floor mats?  My son and I had a set of these mats that were thrown in with a 240Z that we bought back in 2004. We were going to throw them away, but we ended up selling on eBay for a pretty good amount of money for the time. Here's the link: 

 

Its a shame these things pop up when they do. I still have body work to complete on the ZX before adding another to the fleet. I could see paying that if it is what it seems to be. Hopefully the Z gods let the right person ends up with it.

 

 

All 240Zs have the strap on the right only. In 74 the 260Z got the integrated arm rest/door pull on both sides.

Looks like the car was sold, as the Craigslist listing was cancelled by the seller.  $6,500.00 was a good price for that Series I car.

Did anyone grab pictures of it?  I would have liked to have seen it.
