Posted July 18, 20177 yr comment_526023 I am attempting to put new bumper rubber strips on my 72Z. As you can see the replacements are shorter. I bought another set and got the same thing. P/N 62690-E4100. Anyone else ever run into this? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58149-front-bumper-strips-too-short-72-z/ Share on other sites
July 18, 20177 yr comment_526030 I think I had that problem years ago. You just have to stretch it. Chuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58149-front-bumper-strips-too-short-72-z/#findComment-526030 Share on other sites

The picture looks like you have the rubber piece on backwards - the rounded edge needs to be on the outside end that curves around to the front edge of the fender. Try starting from the first hole on the side corner of each side of the bumper (see picture below). Nissans vendor screwed up I think. Poor quality control. September 15, 20177 yr Author comment_530349 Ended up elongating the holes with my dremel tool to fit. Then the rears were too long. So I drilled an new hole to get those installed. Go figure. I have no idea whats going on but they are installed and never coming off as long as I have the car.
