August 21, 20177 yr comment_528434 Well there you go the problem is a plugged up tank, congrats, now all you have to do is clear it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58221-starting-problem/?&page=10#findComment-528434 Share on other sites
August 21, 20177 yr comment_528435 Yes on the gas jug. Ideally Dave is right but if you have a good amount of fuel in it should be ok like you do. Stuff a rag lightly around the neck of jug. BEFORE YOU START MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER HANDY! Just in case. I'd even go as far as have a fan pointing Towards the can to ensure any raw fumes escaping are blown out the garage. Looks like you have it in there. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58221-starting-problem/?&page=10#findComment-528435 Share on other sites

August 21, 20177 yr comment_528442 BTW, I would say the tank is good when fuel will siphon out of the fuel line. If it will not come out by siphon (gravity) then you have an issue. August 21, 20177 yr comment_528443 Doesn't it read 32 psi? Fuzzy. That's low. Progress, but still. Don't know why you still have that prefilter on there for the test. Don't know why you still have that prefilter on there for the test.Yea, it reads 32 and doesn't go below that. Is that because the jerry can isn't fully sealed?. Also what wire should I buy tomorrow? I was told 1/8 of an inch round balene wire.Sent from my iPad using Classic Zcar Club mobile Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58221-starting-problem/?&page=10#findComment-528448 Share on other sites

August 21, 20177 yr Author comment_528451 goose the engine if it was running, the fuel pressure will respond if the FPR is working right.I gave it a little rev and it did go up in fuel pressure. Obviously it wasn't a big rev because I have a jerry can. But it went up to 38and back to 32.Sent from my iPad using Classic Zcar Club mobile Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58221-starting-problem/?&page=10#findComment-528451 Share on other sites
