Attaching exterior mirror ( just the mirror ) to the plastic inside mirror

Whats a good way to attach the mirror ? Would double sided tape be strong enough ? Thanks

3M double sided tape or a tube of silicone sealer.

Beware: Given time, some silicone sealers will discolor the mirror backing . There are specific sealers for mirrors which won't discolor the finish.
