New to restoration of 240z. What is the best/most powerful engine the 72-73 240z can accommodate?

What is the best reference guide to restoring a z. Thanks.

But the aftermarket  makes a GM 502 that would fit.

 I know there was one in Australia. The Subaru swaps have been abandoned. 

It was always a pleasure to watch Z-gads car when he live here in Orlando. He has a 8.95 pass on streetfire that won't play on my iPad.
