June 13, 20213 yr comment_623344 Super fast shipping, they came in today :0 They included all the hardware too! I think this will work on 1973 models as well, I did not try to fit it into the car, but by eyeball it looks like it will go in smooth. @CanTechZ This might be the way to go for your car too, I should have ordered another one for my white car and used the free shipping 😕 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58785-hatch-strut-lift/?&page=2#findComment-623344 Share on other sites

June 16, 20213 yr comment_623570 @grannyknot looks like that one has double the force that the 4777 can produce, makes sense only one in the 70-73 chassis… Edited June 16, 20213 yr by heyitsrama Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58785-hatch-strut-lift/?&page=2#findComment-623570 Share on other sites

Had to strip the area down and re-weld that support, now the support on my car could have just been weak or poorly welded from the factory, I don't know but for the one lift early cars maybe a 70-80lb lift should be considered. June 16, 20213 yr comment_623587 I noticed on my 74 car that some rust had started to build up in that spot. Was it just 2 spot welds from the bottom to get it reinstalled? June 16, 20213 yr comment_623593 Just installed mine from Lift Supports Depot on a ‘71 240z! All hardware included and took 20 min. I did have to source a 8mm nut and washer for the body ball mount thought.
