Got a friend who is in bad need of a 240Z or 260Z 2 seater shell with little rust if possible

Any available on the east coast of Australia going cheap? He has just about wrote his off and wants to transfer the running gear.

Might not be the most opportune time but don't suppose he is going to be selling or cutting out some rear quarter panel sections from the dead shell? Or better yet a roof without a sunroof hole? There was one for sale in sydney advertised here for 1500ish I think

Look in the for sale section on this site. Nigel Mulvey down here in Sydney has apparently encountered some economic problems and has advertised his 260 for sale for $1500. It is stripped and partially prepared for restoration. Might be worth a look.

Ahh Z kid - might not be appropriate to ask at this point but will keep you posted. The upside is that if he cannot get another body, he was going to break it up for the parts. I anxiously await his decision.

It rarely is good timing to go "I have first dibs on the roof " straight after someone crashes a car. Thanks it would be great if you could keep me posted of his decision. I hope hes all Ok and that he may once again have a Z to drive soon.

Yeah I understand about when is it right to put on first dibs? I already have :classic: on any parts if the case being that he has to move onto something else if he cannot secure another body.

To keep him on the track, I have offered to let him enter mine in the next race as a double entry.

The guy writes off his car, so you let him borrow your car braver man than me. Surely you don't want a roof panel. The best time to ask is ask their wife/significant other straight after she finds out what he just did, stuff seems to be cheaper then.

Yeah we all make mistakes - just ask John Denver (see other thread as it has all been said there.)

The track that he pranged at is unforgiving as i ran there the week before and felt pretty uneasy with every lap.

My Zed is firstly a toy and used to enjoy. Why not share the experience. Besides I know that he will look after it and if he makes another mistake, it was not on purpose. That is why they are called mistakes I think?:sleepy:

I would also hope that someone would do the same for me if I was in the same situation. It is the adrenalin rush that we all crave for.

I have a 78 280 with the split sunroof. The shell is completely effed with rust however the roof is clean
