Hello Denrée, are you restoring this Z for yourself or do you plan on selling it when completed? I have a 72 z also. You may also go to the Datsun 240z registry of America and add your information about your Z. Welcome to the site.

Felicitations!

If interested, contact me.  I can ship Z's to France from Canada (Nova Scotia).

Is that a dry state ? How is the metal after +40yrs up there ?

It is a province. Garage-kept, summer-driven cars are very nice here, just like all places.

What sells here are 240Zs, don't worry with 'series 1s', there's no premium here for having an early one.

Hi Sean,

Over 10 years ago a gentleman whose first name was Arnaud purchased a '71 918 Orange 240Z from me and my son (pictured below).  He was living in New York City at the time, then he moved back to France and took his 240Z with him.  He e-mailed me some pictures of the car at the collector car parade which took place on the track at LeMans about a year later.  Just curious, have you heard from him? Does he still have the 240Z?

Hi.

This one ? Was he from Bordeaux ?

Sadly, sold on perhaps 4 years ago now and I have no news of it. Surprising as it's a small Datsun world here with maybe 200 max 240Zs registered in France.

Yes, that's the car and that's Arnaud in the pictures. He changed out the stock wheels and D hubcaps soon after he shipped the car over to France. Below is a picture of the car before it was sold. Arnaud's winning bid on eBay was for just under $15,000.00 U.S. back in 2007.
