November 19, 20177 yr comment_535415 True, but that’s why I resurrected the two old ones I had... rare but still functional. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/58967-another-one-bites-the-dust/?&page=4#findComment-535415 Share on other sites
November 20, 20177 yr comment_535417 Yeah mine was okay too but after the fuel tank rehab I went all new when possible. Don't like going back, cars, girls, jobs. November 20, 20177 yr comment_535421 8 hours ago, Patcon said: I hope you are saving the rear struts and the aluminum brake drums... What is different about the rear struts compared to other 240Z struts? Which years got the aluminum drums, and at what point are they not worth saving? I think I have some aluminum drums, but some fins are broken off. I assumed they were junk. November 20, 20177 yr Author comment_535423 I don't think there any differences in 240Z rear struts. And I think all S30 shipped with Aluminum drums. There are services that can now reline the AL drums and there are reproduction new AL drums available. MSA has them for $229/pair. I too have a stack of pretty much wore out (lining wise) drums hoping they will be valuable some day...
