May 2, 200321 yr comment_35826 I know im going off topic here but your right Brett those R31 GTS's are quite rare. I see alot of imitations on the road but hardly any of the real thing. Did these have an RB20? I heard they couldn't use the RB30ET. Might be a challenge to find one at a wrecking yard especially before someone else but thanks for the heads up.Gav, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5907-my-new-z/?&page=3#findComment-35826 Share on other sites
May 2, 200321 yr comment_35827 no worries, i was always under the assumption they had the RB30ET, but dont know. you should be able to get the LSD from Warren at AllZed, i spoke to him about it about a year ago and he had a couple. I'm conditioned to it from my other forum. They have an attention span of two posts per thread. One minute you're talking about the brakes and the next we are discussing where pocket fluff comes from. Go figure.Btw, here is a link that you might find usefull if you are searching for an R31 diff.http://www.r31skylineclub.com/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5907-my-new-z/?&page=3#findComment-35839 Share on other sites
May 2, 200321 yr comment_35842 Most import wreckers who sell half cuts etc sell old long nose R200 LSD's. They are not really that rare, but some of the preferred ratios are. May 2, 200321 yr comment_35928 Pocket fluff is not actually pocket fluff, but starts life as belly button fluff. It is a subconscious action, but as you are in the lift etc with no-one around, you naturally scratch your belly button (A left over from tick removal in cave man days) When scratching your belly button, you get a small amount of fluff the natural response for the cavemen was to wipe this off on their chest which is now your pocket. The only alternative was to put it in your mouth, so if you ever meet a person without pocket fluff you know where they are putting their belly button fluff. Thats my 2cChris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/5907-my-new-z/?&page=3#findComment-35928 Share on other sites

May 3, 200321 yr comment_35959 And I just thought I left a tissue in the wash! Fascinating, yes...Oh..and the r31 GTS actually has an RB30e (no turbo!) with a couple of small mods to make it produce more power..about 130kw if I remember correctly...they added a stainless steel exhaust and modded the cam a little to lift the power about 15%, so it goes really well!! It also had 16' wheels fitted standard...rare in thos days!!!Cheers ppl!
