Posted December 20, 20177 yr comment_537938 Anyone here have the cast aluminum oil pan sold by Arizona Z Car? Any issues? Does it fit well with clearances. Been eyeing this up for some time. December 20, 20177 yr comment_537954 I had one on a L28 for about four years, it worked perfectly, no clearance issues, and because it is a cast unit it is very strong and I think it holds an extra litre of oil. December 20, 20177 yr comment_537956 I have had one since 2005 in my street Z and purchased a second pan in 2012 for the race car. My only comment is that stock pan bolt heads are too large due to the casing. I use allen head bolts instead. December 21, 20177 yr Author comment_538040 Thanks I just may get my Z a Christmas present. He does have them back in stock now. Not sure if a local aluminum foundry is making them. Or from overseas. Will look nice when the car goes on BaT Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/59201-arizona-z-car-oil-pan/#findComment-538040 Share on other sites
December 21, 20177 yr comment_538064 I bought one for my track Z. The fit was perfect. I did have a manufacturing defect with mine, where it leaked in one of the corners of the casting. He replaced it without a hassle and the replacement has been great ever since. I highly recommend it.
