December 24, 20177 yr comment_538276 As a former member of AA, it took me a about 1.5 years of AA to realize I wasn't an alcoholic, but a severe Azzhole! Learned a lot about myself while there though. I don't drink anymore, expect for the occasional NyQuil when I'm sick. I was at one of those cross roads nine years ago; get out or quit drinking. I only miss the occasional glass of wine with a nice meal. A word of to advice to anyone who drinks and their significant other doesn't, break up or quit drinking! Especially if you suffer from azzholizm like I did! He lost everything in a downward spiral. Sad really, when you think about it.
