240260280 Posted February 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Early heat shield, early air filter housing, 4 screw carbs are later version as per MikeB's keen observation in post #2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240z-SU-Carburetor-4-screws-Series-1-NO-RESERVE/132514455721?hash=item1eda7a20a9:g:V0IAAOSw05tafN26&vxp=mtr Edited February 23, 2018 by 240260280
Mike B Posted February 22, 2018 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Those carbs aren't correct for a 1969 or early 1970 production car. The early carbs have no float drains and the float bowl lids were diffferent, sometimes referred to as "Mickey Mouse ears". 26th-Z Posted February 23, 2018 Share #3 Posted February 23, 2018 (edited) Yep. Specifically, those are the Hitachi HJG 46W-3A type. My cars came with the HJL 46W type. The heat shield is for the long return springs rather than the short ones. Edited February 23, 2018 by 26th-Z
