Hello,

It has been 20 years since I sold my 240 Z, what would it cost to buy a fully restored Z car that is bone stock?

If you are talking "concourse" restoration, you'll be hard pressed to find one below $15K anywhere in the US. There will be differences based on region of the US. Could be as much as $20K.

The operative word here is "should". Many people put far more money into restorations than they can ever hope to get out of the sale of said car. I'm not saying this is fair or not, just that it is a fact of life.

I did say... to someone that wants one.

Why do you all want to kill yourself when someone implies that your own cars might be worth what you have in them? I don't get it. It's like "no they're junk and we're dumb for owning them and they will never be worth anything".

They are great cars. And hopefully some day, when there are only a few left on the planet you will realize that.
