Today after taking the car for a couple of nice spins the lower radiator hose came off the radiator inlet. Is this normal due to high speed. Any clues to the cause of thiS?

No, common sense would dictate that such an event is NOT normal.  Otherwise, the highways would be littered with cars by the side of the road and race cars would never finish a race.  Cause?  Loose hose clamp, defective hose clamp, improperly installed hose and clamp, Act of God.

Wrong size hose clamp. The inlet end seems to be too big as well. Ran out of teeth on those clamps giving you a false sense of tight. I'd put 2 news on.
