Patcon Posted April 15, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 15, 2018 I need some help!! Cody's under hood harness is not routed properly. Can some of you guys post up some pictures of the correct harness routing under the hood? I have done some looking online but can't find any good images to help... zKars Posted April 21, 2018 Share #3 Posted April 21, 2018 Wish I could help. I don't have a stock wired 510 anywhere handy.
NVZEE Posted April 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted April 21, 2018 Anything specific you’re wondering about or just general layout?

Right now his harness comes up the passenger side and across the front but it doesn't seem long enough. So somehow we have it routed wrong. A diagram or some pictures would help a lot... I have looked on Google images some but most of those 510's seem to be modified or you can't see the layout.
NVZEE Posted April 21, 2018 Share #6 Posted April 21, 2018 Not the prettiest sight but it might answer some questions for you. The surge tank on the strut tower is an add-on.
Patcon Posted April 21, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted April 21, 2018 No, that's a good start! So it goes down under the battery, then where? Under the radiator? Then across to the coil?
NVZEE Posted April 22, 2018 Share #8 Posted April 22, 2018 Yep. By the time it gets past the alternator you’re just dealing with a few wires for lights and coil.
Patcon Posted April 22, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted April 22, 2018 Does it route across the front of the engine from the alternator?
NVZEE Posted April 22, 2018 Share #10 Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) As you’d said before, the wiring runs across the frame under the radiator. There should be brackets, although not all have survived through the years. Edited April 22, 2018 by NVZEE

NVZEE Posted April 22, 2018 Share #12 Posted April 22, 2018 Note that dust, leaves, etc. are optional add-ons to enhance patina and ambiance only. Uh huh.
