Right now his harness comes up the passenger side and across the front but it doesn't seem long enough. So somehow we have it routed wrong. A diagram or some pictures would help a lot... I have looked on Google images some but most of those 510's seem to be modified or you can't see the layout. April 21, 20186 yr comment_547830 Not the prettiest sight but it might answer some questions for you. The surge tank on the strut tower is an add-on. April 21, 20186 yr Author comment_547831 No, that's a good start! So it goes down under the battery, then where? Under the radiator? Then across to the coil? April 22, 20186 yr comment_547832 Yep. By the time it gets past the alternator you’re just dealing with a few wires for lights and coil. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/59871-datsun-510-harness-routing/#findComment-547832 Share on other sites
April 22, 20186 yr Author comment_547837 Does it route across the front of the engine from the alternator? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/59871-datsun-510-harness-routing/#findComment-547837 Share on other sites
April 22, 20186 yr comment_547857 As you’d said before, the wiring runs across the frame under the radiator. There should be brackets, although not all have survived through the years. April 22, 20186 yr comment_547872 Note that dust, leaves, etc. are optional add-ons to enhance patina and ambiance only. Uh huh. Â Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/59871-datsun-510-harness-routing/#findComment-547872 Share on other sites
