Right on target!  Being a Tesla stock holder, I might suggest that they sell their autopilot AI to the government to use as the guidance system for Cruise missiles.

The Telsla is destroyed, fire truck doesn't look like it has a scratch on it, love it.

The problem mentioned in the fire truck crash is to see ahead through the windows of cars in front. It is like the sensors can only see what is immediately in front of them.... not like us dumb humans who can tell what is going on 500m ahead most of the time.

 

I bet the industry will lobby govt; who will yield, to mandate ID and location transmitters (tracking emitters) on all new vehicles so that their position can be "seen" by these current poor systems that crash and kill.

Is it possible the Tesla's have an "unnatural affection" toward official vehicles?
