I put the new lock and catch on my car, now it won't open. I tried different keys, etc. The key turns the lock. I pushed it down. Tried many ways. What can I do ? Thank you very much. 71Z.

Now you done it,  you can climb into the hatch area and remove the vinyl panel on the hatch and reach up and push the latch that is actuated by the thumb cylinder lock, that should pop the hatch.

Yup.  Then figure out why the button isn't pushing down the latch like it's supposed to.  There's an adjustment screw on the arm - if there's an arm...  The lock cylinder simply moves that arm into a position where it either CAN or CAN'T contact the latch.
