May 2, 20213 yr Author comment_620923 Guys, anyone know how to fix the BCCD wire? Or do I need to find a new solenoid? Also, thought I'd share a tip. I needed to do some touch up painting in the engine bay. I bought a Master Airbrush Model G22 on amazon. It was 25 bucks and it works great. I highly recommend Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60184-rust-advice-78-280z/?&page=22#findComment-620923 Share on other sites
May 2, 20213 yr comment_620928 I’ve got two that are not quite as separated and I’ve thought about getting/using some liquid electrical tape Edit: I can’t remember the brand I used before for something different, but it was thick and dried to a soft rubber consistently kinda like RTV/silicone. I thought about using Plasti Dip and just noticed they make a electric tape version.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60184-rust-advice-78-280z/?&page=22#findComment-620928 Share on other sites

May 10, 20213 yr comment_621378 The distributor's vacuum advance and the ported vacuum source on the bottom of the throttle body. Ported (throttle blade controlled) vacuum runs both of those. May 10, 20213 yr comment_621379 Mine's a '77 with a ZX distributor so no help with the last two questions and a maybe on #1 at the brakes. My green/yellow stripe goes to the proportion valve down low. Mine is unhooked and I'm almost positive it was done so the brake light inside the gauge would go off. There was another wire under the passenger's seat I unhooked to finally get it to quit burning. I check the fluid all the time and rarely drive it but when I do it has good braking for that old of a car. Not a big fan of caution (idiot) lights on the dash. Fuel, temp and oil pressure is all I care about. 👍 2 hours ago, gotham22 said: Making great progress getting all the engine parts back together.
