ksechler Posted June 13, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2018 Either this guy is insane and has grossly over valued his zcar or I missed something. I'm interested to see what others think. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Datsun-Z-Series-280Z/292601359629?hash=item4420666d0d:g:kB0AAOSwL4lbH9be&vxp=mtr
Zed Head Posted June 13, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2018 Kind of odd. Is he calling it a "Fairlady" because of the mirrors? 1978 can't be "matching numbers" because Nissan stopped putting the engine serial number on the tag. 1978 with a 4 speed is unusual. He forgot to write about the rear discs. Here's the real reason. It's a consignment car. http://www.realmusclecar.com/inventory/?type=auto&order=date|DESC https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/?dealer_id=1080

siteunseen Posted June 13, 2018 Share #4 Posted June 13, 2018 Those dome lights are available at dealerships for like $10. Good looking car though but that's house money down here. Small house but better than a mobile home.
Zed Head Posted June 13, 2018 Share #5 Posted June 13, 2018 Just curious but do people drive around with no filters on those triple Webers?
Patcon Posted June 13, 2018 Share #6 Posted June 13, 2018 It's a nice car and took a good bit of money to make look like that. The problem is you almost never get that money back out when yous sell. The low mileage and low rust would help it, if it wasn't heavily modified but probably doesn't do that much for a restomod car. I do like those seats though. Did some googling but couldn't even really locate a set or old ad for a set...

rturbo 930 Posted June 13, 2018 Share #10 Posted June 13, 2018 Great seats for a sports car. No side bolstering whatsoever! 56 minutes ago, pclements said: In the picture of the passenger open door, what are the holes in the door frame left bottom in this picture? Just behind the door sill I believe there's supposed to be a little rubber bumper there. Would have to look to confirm.

Yes, but the smell of rich Corinthian leather. Yeah he's just fishing, hoping to catch a Saudi prince with deep pockets. But I would take it for a spin, lots of hard work in that car. Zed Head Posted June 14, 2018 Share #12 Posted June 14, 2018 Definitely looks nice. And shiny. I learned at an early age that when the odometer rolls over the numbers get all wiggly and off the same line. Makes you wonder.
