SteveJ Posted April 4, 2023 Share #231 Posted April 4, 2023 I would say the resistance reading is higher than I would expect. At least now you know you aren't just throwing parts at the problem.

MM569457 Posted April 7, 2023 Author Share #235 Posted April 7, 2023 One step forward, three steps back. Drove round the block to test it out. Came back and inspecting the engine I see droplets from under the car. the carbs are leaking fuel. After about 10 minutes it stopped. Seems to be around the area the intake mates with the chrome baffle for the air intake.
Mark Maras Posted April 7, 2023 Share #236 Posted April 7, 2023 A few things can cause the problem. Fuel pressure too high (I like 3.5 psi), floats set too high or crud in the needle and seat valves. 1
MM569457 Posted April 8, 2023 Author Share #237 Posted April 8, 2023 Could you adjust PSI on a mechanical pump? I’ll check the needle and floats

SteveJ Posted April 8, 2023 Share #239 Posted April 8, 2023 Yep, it's not good when those are nasty. Don't forget about the last chance filters on the banjo fittings.
MM569457 Posted April 8, 2023 Author Share #240 Posted April 8, 2023 I’ve adjusted the floats to be lower. And cleaned the fuel bowl. waiting on new gaskets to be delivered.
