Posted July 26, 20186 yr comment_553899 Hi I am looking at selling my 74 260z and would like some input from the community on what it should go for. It’s got a good amount of modifications which I understand can sometimes limit your potential buyers. Here is a list of the significant mods. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions please ask. July 26, 20186 yr comment_553906 I know you're stressing trying to sale but what jumps out to me is you calling it a '75 260. 1974 was the only year the 260 was made. I sold mine on CL. Lot of nuts but also honest people looking for wa Z. Good luck with your selling attempt, it's a nice looking car. Are you flipping it or is it your's for awhile? My guess, $8,000. July 26, 20186 yr comment_553912 Personally I like your list of mods, none of them are seen and improve the power, handling and braking. Where you are going to take a hit is your personalizing of the paint, I know it looks great to you but probably won't to your buyer, also you are out in the Great North West where there are a lot of Z's so that might bring your price down too. What price are you thinking about, what do really want for it? July 26, 20186 yr comment_553918 The tow hooks and exposed grill probably aren't going to help. Specs on the engine build would help, if you did it or a pro. A professionally built engine could add value. Home built, maybe not. More details are always good. "Treated" doesn't really mean anything. "Bigger" brakes either. No interior pictures. You forgot to mention the rear strut tower brace, if that's what the red bars in the back window are. Just stuff that pops in to mind. Bringatrailer seems to bring some good prices. July 27, 20186 yr Author comment_553924 It has a half cage, Toyota brakes not sure which ones. Also the car was treated with Ziebart. It was all professionally built. I am still missing a lot of info and when I return home next week I will get more detailed pictures. July 27, 20186 yr comment_553927 Resto-mod cars really have brought some good money on BAT. I think if you found a grill and some bumpers that would add a lot of value. No offense, but it looks incomplete as it is. Maybe even just a front bumper. Here's a BAT 280Z up for sale. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-datsun-280z-40/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60450-help-pricing/#findComment-553927 Share on other sites
July 27, 20186 yr comment_553928 Can't see a rear hatch glass weather seal. Is the window bonded in place? Glass or plastic? Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60450-help-pricing/#findComment-553928 Share on other sites

Here some pic's from a beautiful 1979 euro 260Z (It was a probably a 1978 car made and was put on the road in 1979.) July 27, 20186 yr comment_553957 That looks exactly like my 280. AC and heater panel, doors interior looks the same too. I see fusible link covers but also a fuel rail for carbs. Crazy but I'm glad you corrected me. I can go to bed now after learning something for today.
