Posted July 30, 20186 yr comment_554122 I pulled my engine out of my car already but now I want to pull the trans. Can I just pull it forward into the engine bay when it’s unbolted from the transmission mounts or do I also need to undo the propeller shaft bolts by the rear diff? July 30, 20186 yr comment_554124 You can just pull the transmission forward but have something there to catch the drive shaft. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60469-pulling-trans/#findComment-554124 Share on other sites

July 30, 20186 yr comment_554153 Drain the trans first or you'll have a big, smelly mess! Chuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60469-pulling-trans/#findComment-554153 Share on other sites

July 31, 20186 yr Author comment_554226 How do you clean the shifter area circled in yellow? can you get water/cleaners in there?Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60469-pulling-trans/#findComment-554226 Share on other sites
July 31, 20186 yr comment_554232 No you want to keep that area dry. Often transmission fluid works its way out from there. There are seals but best not to test them. Looks like you lost your protective rubber booty. Toothbrush and a rag...
