Kevin McSweeney Posted July 8, 2020 Author Share #145 Posted July 8, 2020 Guys, can anybody give me measurements for the 'cutout' for the exhaust on a 240z (see photo of orange car - I will be running the same exhaust). My Z is in bodywork - also see photographs - and has been shaved in the rear, so I need to make a new opening for the exhaust and want it to look at stock as possible. Any help appreciated. 7tooZ Posted July 8, 2020 Share #146 Posted July 8, 2020 Don’t know if these will help, hard to measure with only two hand a phone and a tape. I can try later with a micrometer. Let know.
Kevin McSweeney Posted July 8, 2020 Author Share #147 Posted July 8, 2020 Very helpful, thanks! Any chance you could pull a tape from the center of the car (or the outside) as well?
7tooZ Posted July 8, 2020 Share #148 Posted July 8, 2020 I got 20” from center. The 240 has a muffler hanger bracket directly above the outlet pipe of the muffler. I offset forward in the car to tighten up the exhaust pipes he makes. are putting on a resonator it made mine a little more pleasant. But still nasty on WOT between 4K and 7k.

Kevin McSweeney Posted August 26, 2020 Author Share #151 Posted August 26, 2020 Some more progress photos. Slow progress but we finally got some high build primer on the hood and doors tonight. The plan was to have color on by end of the month but looks like it will be a week or so behind! Getting there!
