August 31, 20186 yr comment_556553 Sometimes when you let the clutch or brake pedal up quickly and they hit the stops you get that metal spring echo sound in the pedal box, I found by stuffing some dense foam up the length of the spring you can get rid of a lot of the sound. I would think the screaming engine and tire noise when you drop the clutch would hide those noises! September 1, 20186 yr comment_556566 Mark, it doesn’t have the wide open ends like the original part (see Patcon’s Picture), however, it does go on with a little help from needle nose pliers. I have an extra spring if you’d like it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60658-pedal-return-springs/?&page=2#findComment-556566 Share on other sites
September 1, 20186 yr comment_556574 I got onto the Century Spring website the other day when I was looking and printed off the relevant pages for similar springs from their pdf catalog. They were supposed to be annotated for long hook springs etc. I never could find the annotation. They probably make the correct spring or one very similar if you could locate the correct number in the catalog Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60658-pedal-return-springs/?&page=2#findComment-556574 Share on other sites
