conedodger Posted October 13, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2018 (edited) But I have questions. Where is Arne? Dude knows everything about period wheels from the 70’s! i currently have 15X7 0 offset (I think) id like to go 16X7 or 8 if possible, or a squared 16x7 all the way around. What have you guys done successfully? What tire size have you used? Where the hell do you buy them? I’ve seen wild price differences! Here are pics of the car with a set of Kosei K1’s, (I didn’t like them, too modern) and the current Panasport. Diseazd Posted October 14, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2018 CD.....I run 16x7 Panasports with 205 55 16 rubber. No problems with clearance.
conedodger Posted October 14, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted October 14, 2018 So 16X7 squared fits. Are they all 0 offset?
Diseazd Posted October 14, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 14, 2018 Yes....I’ve tried 225 50 16’s....they rub. 205 50 16’s are too short. The 205 55 16’s are perfect IMO.....they fill the well and don’t have clearance issues. I love the Panasports (as you can see).
conedodger Posted October 14, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted October 14, 2018 Where’d you buy them? I’ve seen prices from $250 - $370 each!
wheee! Posted October 14, 2018 Share #6 Posted October 14, 2018 What about the 16x8 VTO classic 8’s? They are +3 offset and clear with coilovers... not sure about stock suspension.
wheee! Posted October 14, 2018 Share #7 Posted October 14, 2018 They have them in 16x7 +0 as well. Good prices.

I've heard some wheels can be all over the map. I know the Panasports are 0 offset. This will be my 5th set in 30+ years of Z ownership. I'll look though. If they are the ones made in the Philippines, I can walk right up to the factory and pick them up. I have a house and condo there.
LeonV Posted October 15, 2018 Share #10 Posted October 15, 2018 Hey Rob, I'm planning to get rid of my nearly-new 16X7 Panasports soon, I just haven't bothered to make a for sale post yet. They come with 225/50-16 Bridgestone RE11-A rubber with tons of life left. Hard to say whether they'll rub as it's car-dependent. I have coilovers and trimmed fender lips and front valence. Originally paid $1637 for the wheel and tire combo. I can do $1200 if you or anyone else is interested. Just bought a set of Wats so I'll have to reluctantly get rid of these. (That bottom photo is over-exposed, they're silver and not white, as seen in the first shot)
