These are available in the Porsche restoration world but I’ve never seen them in the Datsun world. 

First a confession: I’ve owned my 240Z since 1980. Somewhere along the line, I put in a Griffin alloy radiator and an overflow tank. I mounted the damned overflow just above the VIN plate. This is the result:

Anyone know what font size/style is needed to stamp the car & engine numbers onto the blank plates?

Zedsaver will do that for you. He can get a little carried away with the 'random' placement of the digits, so ask him to take it easy with that....
