Yeahhhhh, NO! I can take 20 pairs and send them to Z therapy for that! and they will be roller bearing when they come back. Even if I had to buy cores, I could probably do 12 sets.

But, shipping is only $50.  I wonder how the seller arrived at the price he's asking for the carbs.

He has to pay off the student loan for his MBA?

That might be enough to pay off one class at a second tier school.

Unfortunately, the carbs are only "new in box" until they're installed.  Then they're as used as any set you'd find at the local Pick-A-Part.  Shelf item for bragging rights only.

They might make good trading material for a NOS quarter panel.

Why trade when you can have true NOS carbs AND quarter panels! Think of the provenance! If it's going to be worth $70,000 plus in the end, these are a must have addition!

As Patcon pointed out, the parts will only retain and or gain in value as long as they stay on the shelf. The shelf labeled 401Z a$$ets.

It makes me wonder how many parts are stashed away on shelves, in attics & garages, and in storage sheds belonging to members of this forum.  I know I have more than a few "nice to have" Z items and Porsche parts.  As a group, we could probably build a few new Zs with all the parts.
