Posted November 24, 20186 yr comment_562315 I need to repaint one of my fenders. I've sanded the whole panel with 320 and 400, but didn't take it back down to bare metal. I'm well outside the recoat window now (it's been about a month). Should I re-seal with epoxy? Or just do a couple coats of paint on top? I don't know why you couldn't go right over it with color, now that it's knocked down to 400. I think the recoat window refers to running color over color with no sanding in between. November 25, 20186 yr Author comment_562348 That's what I was hoping to do! Was mainly thinking about possible adhesion problems with just laying a couple more coats of paint, but if it shouldn't be an issue I will gladly skip the epoxy.Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61143-recoating-single-stage-outside-the-recoat-window-sealer-or-no/#findComment-562348 Share on other sites
