Good, glad I didn't cost you too much,  I was digging through my collection of crush washers and o rings and in a pinch a M8x1.25 and a fuel injector o ring will work temporarily until you can find something more permanent.

Well the dealer cancelled my order .. and now status says unavailable

Yes, I've had that happen before. Sometimes parts are NLA, but they don't show up in the online searches as such.

According to Dorman's web-site this one fits.

EDIT: Whoa, Whoa!!!  You're talking about the gas tank!  I'm sorry.

A tap should cut some new threads pretty easily.  Grease up the tap and you won't have to worry too much about shavings, plus gravity will help.  Use a magnetic bolt, like for an oil pan, and you'll pick up any strays plus some rust.

That's oil.  But they might be the same.  One funky thread size.  Decimal metric?  16,400 microns.  82/127ths of an inch.

Ended up at Home Depot with a M8 x 1.25 x 20 flange bolt and M8 copper washer. The flange bolt has a larger head to get good contact with the washer.
