Anyone else have favorite driving music?

When I used to drive between Los Angeles and Central Illinois a couple times a year in my 280Z, one of my favorite tapes (no CDs in 1985) was REO Speedwagon's Double Live album "You Get What You Play For".

Anything by Led Zepplin, Santana, George Thorogood & the Delaware Destroyers, Pink Floyd, or Fleetwood Mac were major favorites of mine back in the day. Now days I don't drive long distances much but when I do, I take a CD player with a pile discs by the same folks and ROCK OUT!

I like driving casually to the ataris or

no use for a name, goo goo dolls, lagwagon, rufio, 18 hours, MxPx(sometimes), slick shoes, sick of change, but mostly MY ENGINE.

When I drive on the freeways in a fast mood I like listening to Strung out, Pennywise, or old metallica LOUD.

I'm a young lad so many would think that I listen to duf duf dance music.

I do enjoy some dance stuff and some jazz, some beatbox, some rock, some pop etc etc. Basically anything that moves me regarldless of style.

Most of the time my station is glued to 101.7 who play golden oldies from the 60's & 70's mainly. It seems right in the Z.

I carry some CD's too. Atm I've got Prodigy, Lionel Ritchies Greatest Hits, Metallica (all of them but find myself listening to Load more than anything. At first I hated that album but it really grew on me), Rahzel and various singles.

However, I haven't been listening to music lately. The sound of the 8 is sweeter than any music I have heard.

Anyone have an MP3 player for their car yet? I haven't done this, but, it's a good idea. I'll get one soon.

A lot of the newer car decks now have MP3 support playing from a CDROM that you create at home.

At one time I was a Pro. Muscician, but I played the Girls and the Drugs much better than I could ever play Guitar.

MP3's I've got just under 40 gig, players in both cars.

If you didn't know Apple Comp. just came out with a new file format, and also came to an agreement with ASCAP & BMI (the music Lawers who really make the money from sales) to release a few 100 thousand songs and sell them on the web at 99 cents a track. This is why their stock has climbed over the last week.
