Driving Music...

Recommended Posts

I played guitar in a band for years, and still jam with the boys when we can escape the kids long enough. Back when my Z was a daily driver I allways liked driving late at night to songs like Kashmir by Led Zepplin, Night Prowler by AC/DC, Slow Ride by Foghat, Rock Candy by Montrose, Orion by Metallica, or The Zoo by Scorpions. But these days, if I get some time alone with the Z car it is L6 by Nissan! However, if I get in any other car with a CD player and no kids it is anything by Dream Theater!

Enjoy!

Zeppelin for Sure ... Physical Graffiti might be the best album ever

Allman Brothers Band (especially on a sunny warm day!)

Kid Rock

'80's Hair Bands (Priest, Maiden, Scorpions, Savatage, Dokken)

Dixie Dregs

Honky Tonk type country (not the line-dancing stuff, the drankin' stuff)

Skynard

Christian Rock

Hootie

The earliest Seattle stuff (Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog)

I'm ate up.

The radio in "Precious", the one in my ute and the one in my home workshop are permanently tuned to an FM station that plays only COUNTRY music.

Apart from Aussie talent, my favorites are ALABAMA, Glen Campbell and Willie Nelson. Oh, and , of course, the Man in Black.

Rick.

Stevie Ray Vaughn

UFO

Queen

Counting Crowes

Michael Schenker Group

and ESPN Radio and Right Wing, Conservative, Liberal-bashing radio (Hannity, Rush). Don't agree with everything, but it's entertaining.

Darylick and everyone else for that matter....Any recording on my list is completely obtainable!!

I haven't been able to run at the pace at I used to due to the amount of taping I have been doing and supplying the bands, promoter, and venue owner copies of everything I record but I find one or two free nights that I am not in the garage that I spend in the music room either burning trades or blank and postages for people.

All you have to do is drop an email, I'm happy to spread the music :classic:

Just a follow up, only 10% of that list could be considered "Bootleg". The rest of the bands on that list are taper friendly with the strict rule that it is not to be profited from financially. I have close to 10 grand in equipment to perform this task so I do have some recordings that will bury and studio compiled disc.

Things have come a long way since Re-Run lost his analog deck at the doobie brothers concert ROFL

I bought a compilation tape years ago called "Life in the Fast Lane". It got played that much it wore out. I have since replicated it with MP3's. I bought the CD's often for just one track but I think it's worth it. The track listing is as follows:

You're the Voice - John Farnham

Kayleigh - Marillion

Stuck With You - Huey Lewis

Why Can't This Be Love - Van Halen

You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi

More, More, More - Billy Idol

These Dreams - Heart

The Final Countdown - Europe

Here I Go Again - Whitesnake

St Elmo's Fire - John Parr

The Way It Is -

I Can't Fight This Feeling - Reo Speedwagon

Footloose - Kenny Loggins

Centrefold - J Geils Band

Urgent -

Life in the Fast Lane - Eagles

And for good measure ...

More Than A Feeling - Boston

Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

Gimme All Your Lovin - ZZ Top

Rock On!
