August 5, 20195 yr Author comment_581249 Got a call from Fedex, should be delivered tomorrow, anybody interested in seeing an unboxing video? I have a spare dash, I could strip the old bunged up dash pad off, just to make sure I know how this one should fit (a dry run if you will). That way I could do the test fitting in the comfort of A/C indoors. Since your dash is already out, can you think of any pit falls or tips on removal? the FSM makes it sound pretty easy. August 6, 20195 yr comment_581276 Oh gosh, it’s been about 15 months since I pulled it!  At my age, remembering yesterday takes a bit of head scratching! If I recall correctly, the FSM procedure was pretty good.  Steering wheel, combo switches, seats, console come out before the dash.  Disconnecting the speedometer cable was awkward.  Disconnecting the flashers and the connections under the dash around the steering column were a bit easier.  That’s all I can think of at the moment.  Good luck, Dave! August 6, 20195 yr Author comment_581278 seats out sounds like a good idea, more real estate to move around in. Had not thought about that. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61331-vintage-dashes-280z/?&page=9#findComment-581278 Share on other sites
August 6, 20195 yr comment_581290 Take pictures & label any wiring that isn't obvious where it goes. Seats out is a very good idea.  (easy with 280 seats) Dash looks great buy the way.... August 6, 20195 yr comment_581292 As Jim ^^^ said, labeling the wiring connectors is a good idea.  I have everything labeled, and after 15+ months, I still know how to hook things back up. August 6, 20195 yr comment_581293 Another thought is that the dash is a bit awkward, so an extra pair of hands to guide it out is kind of handy.
