Wow, an automatic on a series 1.  That doesn't seem right.  Too bad there are no engine pics.

I wasn't sure about the automatic.......

Go to Ventura Craigslist. Lots of goodies. 

He's dropped the price already. I think it was originally posted for $11 or $12k.

About 9k now. Not a bad price if it's mostly rust free

 Not to my knowledge and I don't believe the AC was factory. Other discrepancies; Rare lime paint,  Rare Datsun wheels. That said, the way things are going one could buy it, garage it without turning a wrench and make a tidy profit in just a couple of years. I like it because it looks exactly like my first one.

I was under the impression that automatics became available around mid 1970.

11/70 build? 112 yellow (Lime Green) came out in 9/71 according to my records. He must mean 919 Sunshine Yellow or this is “one off” car.

Yes, it could have an automatic.  It looks like it has been painted.  It once had A/C but the compressor is missing?  Well, no A/C then...  It doesn't appear to have a roll bar in it.  If he has a 'factory' roll bar, really, it would be fairly rare.  But do your homework about a 'factory' roll bar.  They were quite unique.  Those aren't 'factory' wheels.  Yea, could use pictures of the engine bay and confirmation of the engine #.
