January 23, 20196 yr comment_566512 Cool! Good work Zed! Hopefully this helps people get their cars legally registered in the states. If not, ship'em to me and I'll register them here for you first... lol Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61458-title-issues/?&page=2#findComment-566512 Share on other sites
January 24, 20196 yr comment_566535 I don't know if what Zed found is the system I know of but there is a way to search for a VIN to make sure it hasn't been reported stolen. It's not too hard to register a car here if it's 30yrs old Plus. January 24, 20196 yr comment_566536 I think it is what you're thinking of. Unfortunately, instead of making it free to the public like they should because our tax money paid for it, they've made it available for companies to use and charge us for the information. Double taxation. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61458-title-issues/?&page=2#findComment-566536 Share on other sites
January 24, 20196 yr comment_566545 I just went to NICB 's website and went to "Search VINCheck" and was able to run my vin for free. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61458-title-issues/?&page=2#findComment-566545 Share on other sites
January 24, 20196 yr comment_566547 Which one is NICB? How many did you have to try to find the free one? What kind of information did you get? This is "USA CarRecord". The second one is one of the other guys. January 24, 20196 yr comment_566551 NICB.org Scroll down and you'll see the "search vincheck" window. It gave me a "theft and salvage record". I would assume if you want other info you may have to pay. Have fun Edited January 24, 20196 yr by rcb280z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61458-title-issues/?&page=2#findComment-566551 Share on other sites
