wheee! Posted February 21 Share #433 Posted February 21 Surprised the Apex unit doesn’t bolt in without modifying the wheel tub! Thats a lot to ask of someone doing a simple subframe upgrade let alone a resto. 2

ConVerTT Posted February 23 Author Share #436 Posted February 23 (edited) Not much to report...in the home stretch of weld repair now...patch..weld..clean..repeat... My poor metal brake held up on some 14 gauge to cap front of the lower frame rail .... And they say you can never get to 100 percent rust free ... this firewall repair pic tells the story... Almost ready for lift off 😉 I hope to wrap up welding in about a week and to be a rolling shell sometime in March... wheee! Posted February 23 Share #438 Posted February 23 (edited) Don’t forget to add the drain pipe from the cowl drain to out the wheel well. Don’t let it drain into the inner fender again. Edited February 23 by wheee! 3
Popular Post ConVerTT Posted March 4 Author Popular Post Share #439 Posted March 4 Got a fair bit done this weekend.... Tension rod supports are boxed in and capped. DS firewall repairs and inner fender patches welded in. Battery tray patches welded in. PS firewall patch roughed in and partially complete. That's the last of the big (and complex) holes so things should start flying soon. Parts are on order for Booth 3.0....
ConVerTT Posted March 4 Author Share #440 Posted March 4 Oh...and this was kinda cool.... Standing inside the car comfortably fixing the firewall while it was vertical on the rotisserie ....
