February 16, 20196 yr comment_568495 Those are drain holes. You will also find a couple in the front foot wells, too. Just be sure they have rubber plugs in them. Nope. I know drain holes. These are hole holes. Each passes through a sub member as well. I'll get a picture the next time I'm at my buddy's. February 16, 20196 yr comment_568510 @240260280z This photo of my 7/70 240z shows what appears to be the same "feature"? No idea of what would be the reason for it. February 16, 20196 yr comment_568511 Maybe you can pick up something off this recent bat listing of a 73 that appears quite original. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-84/ Nice hammer price too. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61613-73-holes-in-floors/#findComment-568511 Share on other sites

February 16, 20196 yr comment_568521 Oh, those holes. I wonder if those holes were used as an anchor point to affix the chassis on an assembly line jig. This is purely speculation on my part. February 17, 20196 yr Author comment_568598 I guess there are plugs on each side or is the underside a drain? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/61613-73-holes-in-floors/#findComment-568598 Share on other sites
