I didn't go in the front door. I googled the first part # and added hinge. (82400-21002,hinge) Their site was on the list, clicked on it and the page with that hinge and the price popped up. Mysteriously, there seems to be a Co. in Russia or Ukraine that lists the hinges. Didn't investigate that one.

The co. in Ukraine?, Russia? is www.diol.ru , if anyone is interested. Genuine Nissan lower hinges, Less than $67.00 US. Were Datsuns sold in the USSR back then? If not, where did the parts come from, if they do have them?

@Patcon Over at 510realm.com, I found a post on repair kits for 510 hinges. NAPA 675-5157. They used the bushings in the kit but not the pins. Hope this helps. Those lower hinges are expensive.

~ 1 month out.

Keep me in mind when you can check.

In the meantime I think I will pursue matching the missing springs. I got the one spring out. It is under a lot of pressure

Free length is 51.4 mm

OD is 27.3 mm

Wire dia 3.25 mm

Don't know on poundage. Can anybody get me going in the right direction?

McMasterCarr.com has a poop load of springs. I've used an inner valve spring on my 4 door, it's close, but actually not stiff enough.

Hey,

I've got some 510 hinges in a box.  Mine came from sedans.  Are they the same part numbers?   I can take pics for you to see.

I would expect they are the same. I will have to check part numbers. Pictures would be great!

Ok, it looks like I have two rights, a left and a spare spring.  These were from a four door sedan (my first car - RIP!)  Been in storage since 1987.

From left to right above (1, 2, 3...)  This is 1 - passenger side, all good (2 views follow):

This is 2 (note a bolt replaced the pin for the upper mechanism - I never noticed that before and again two views follow):

So, you need what, a left, and a right, and the spring?
